Journalists with a special interest in investigative reporting and international cooperation in this field are welcome to apply.
The Summer School offers several skill-building panels with focus on techniques for investigating corruption, as well as data journalism and open source information.
Lead trainer is the Reuters investigative projects editor Blake Morrison. Panellists are among others the regional editor at the Organized Crime & Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) Miranda Patrucic
and the internet research expert Paul Myers.
A limited number of full scholarships will be available to journalists from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania and Serbia with at least three years of experience in journalism. These will be awarded on a merit and need basis and may additionally cover up to €100 in travel cost.
Applications for scholarships must be received by 20 July 2016. Standard applications (for no scholarship applicants) must be received by 1 August 2016. International participants will have to cover a tuition fee.
