Erste Ergebnisse und Analysen

Am 28. September veranstalteten die KAS Brasilien und das Brasilianische Zentrum für Internationale Beziehungen (CEBRI) die Veranstaltung "Deutschland hat gewählt - Erste Ergebnisse und Analysen" im Rahmen der breit angelegten Debattenreihe über "Globale politische und wirtschaftliche Neuordnungen und ihre Auswirkungen auf Brasilien", die die Institutionen im Jahr 2021 durchführen. Die Eröffnung erfolgte durch José Pio Borges, Präsident des Kuratoriums von CEBRI, und Kevin Oswald, stellvertretender Repräsentant der KAS in Brasilien.

Web Series Our Excellencies: The Politics Nobody Shows You

The Web Series presents the behind the scenes operation of Brazilian institutional politics in an accessible, innovative and inviting way.

With support from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Brazil and led by Legisla Brasil, the web series "Our Excellencies: The politics that nobody shows you" presents how the Brazilian legislative branch works from the perspective of political advisors. The content aims not only to teach but also to allow those who work actively in politics to reflect on the subject. This is also an opportunity to show that Brazilian institutional politics is a place of great responsibility, opportunity, power, etc., and that it can be a professional possibility for common people. The web series has 4 episodes narrating the political awakening of each character, the great responsibilities and the political articulation challenges faced by the advisory teams in their daily routine, and, mainly, the importance of politics for the future of the country. These themes will be addressed in interviews and drawn in the context of Brazilian politics with the bold and accessible aesthetics of Maranha Filmes' production, with script and narration by Carol Pires. Angesichts des mangelhaften Corona-Krisenmanagements, wachsender Armut und hoher Inflationsraten liegen die Zustimmungswerte von Jair Bolsonaro gut ein Jahr vor der Präsidentschaftswahl auf dem niedrigsten Niveau seit seiner Amtseinführung. Seit Monaten versucht der Präsident, mit gezielten Sticheleien und Provokationen seine Gegner in Politik und Justiz zu attackieren und seine Anhänger zu mobilisieren. Massendemonstrationen beider Lager, insbesondere am Nationalfeiertag, machen jedoch lediglich die fortschreitende Spaltung des Landes als Folge dieser Politik deutlich und befeuern immer wieder die Debatte um die Wehrhaftigkeit der brasilianischen Demokratie und ihrer Institutionen.
