Building upon the experiences gained from its inaugural workshop in Rio de Janeiro in 2022, this initiative has aimed to equip local leaders with practical tools and technical know-how for the effective development of public policies tailored to their regions' unique demands and budgets.

The Porto Alegre workshop, which focused on a diverse range of topics, including policy evaluation, data processing, funding acquisition, and emerging technologies, garnered significant praise from its participants. The project team's assessment highlighted its effectiveness in exposing students to critical topics, granting them the resources to further their knowledge independently. However, it also identified gaps in students' knowledge, underscoring the need for more emphasis on specific policy topics with practical components in future editions.  In conclusion, the Public Policy Workshop project in Porto Alegre has proven to be a valuable resource for municipal managers seeking to enhance their policy-making skills.
