Expert conference
Details
Invitation
India is an increasingly important player on the global stage. In recognition of its political, economic and security potential, the European Union is joining the country in the fourth of a series of high-level EU-India Summits (scheduled for 29 November 2003 in New Delhi).
In Brussels, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and European Institute for Asian Studies are co-hosting an international conference on 4 December 2003 that will reflect upon current EU-India relations as discussed at the Summit, and look forward to our shared future.
The conference will open with an overview of the Summit with comments by representatives of the European Commission, EU Italian Presidency, and Indian Embassy. This will be followed by distinguished panels examining “Economic and Social Development in India” and “Governance, Security and International Relations” in South Asia.
