The Netherlands have voted
The European Office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung is delighted to invite you to the next session of our event format "The Morning After". In this online format, we are monitoring the Parliamentary and/or Presidential Elections in European states and discuss the results with our KAS colleagues in the respective country. Furthermore, we try to assess the implications the results could have for the country’s relationship with the European Union. This session will focus on the Netherlands, where the Parliamentary Elections 2021 will take place on 17 March.

Following the fall of dictator Saddam Hussein and the Islamic State’s reign of terror, 1.5 million Christians have left Iraq. In Qaraqosh, once Iraq’s largest Christian city, Pope Francis pursued his “pastoral visit”, delivering a speech before the Angelus prayer to remember the violence of the IS and to give hope to Christians in the country.

Das Europabüro der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung freut sich sehr, Sie zum vierten Event unseres Veranstal-tungsformates “KAS Europe Talks” einladen zu dürfen. In regelmäßigen Abständen organisiert das Europabüro in diesem Format eine Diskussion mit der Leiterin/dem Leiter eines anderen KAS-Auslandsbüros, in der sowohl die jüngsten Entwicklungen in den jeweiligen Ländern bzw. Regionen, als auch der Status Quo der Beziehungen zur Europäischen Union thematisiert werden. Die nächste Veranstaltung wirft einen Blick auf die Türkei und das nicht immer ganz reibungslose Verhältnis zwischen der Europäischen Union und ihrem südöstlichen Nachbarn.

The “Adenauerforum” is an annual event format organized by the European Office of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in close cooperation with CDA Dertigers in the Netherlands. The format aims to gather young professionals and future decision makers to discuss one specific topic, that is equally important for Germany and the Netherlands and offers possibilities for cross-border cooperation and/or common strategies. High end politicians from both countries are asked to spark the discussion by given their perspective and insights. This year, the main topic will be climate protection through more sustainable and innovative models for our economies.
