KAS, the Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) and the Institute for Women's Studies in the Arab World (IWSAW)/ Lebanese American University (LAU) jointly organize a roundtable discussion on gender between November 16th - 18th, 2011, entitled “Women Empowerment through Research”, led by Prof. Nadje Al-Ali, Chair of the Center for Gender Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. This round table builds on two earlier meetings in December 2010 and June 2011 and seeks to deepen the network of scholars and civil society activists working on women and gender-related issues.
