KAS Amman and the Women Empowerment Organization Iraq will host a two-day workshop on women empowerment in Erbil, Iraq. Participants will discuss in detail UN Resolution 1325, which introduced a quota of 25% for women in all elected bodies. The goals of the workshop are to provide a comprehensible definition of the resolution and to increase women’s involvement in decision making processes – especially with respect to peace negotiations. The workshop will take place from April 9-10, 2012.
