Evaluation seminar with socially engaged monks for improved performance
The workshop aims at a thorough exchange of experience by all socially engaged monks who have received training from BfD.

Placement of student-volunteers as interns at local governments
Student who participated at the seminars on decentralization and deconcentration are invited to apply for an internship. During the whole January these students will be placed as interns at various local governments.

The long standing KAF-partner Club of Cambodian Journalists (CCJ) hosts the 4th Cambodian editors’ forum from December 28-29 in Sihanoukville. The forum will deal with crucial issues in the media, including code of conduct and professionalism.

Workshop on Evaluation of Commune Committee to Prevent and Manage Human Rights violations
The workshop is part of capacity building for the committees in 4 communes in Angkor Thom District established by BFD. The committees roles are to help Commune Councils in managing conflicts of the villagers and take action in Human Rights issues.

Promotion of university students as interns in Commune Councils and Districts office in Battambang and Siemreap
University students that attended the five serial-workshop on D&D can apply for a six month internship at various local government offices including district and commune administration. This is aiming the students to experience the real work of D&D.

The workshop aims to provide necessary skills and knowledge on how to run a program in social ethics through radio broadcasting. Various pagodas involving with socially-engaged Buddhist activities of BFD purchase one hour from private radio station.

Speech Given by KAF-President H.E. Prof. Vogel at the Senate
On December 12 H.E. Prof. Dr. Bernhard Vogel addresses the Cambodian Senators at the Senate library. He speakes about Germany’s historical experiences in overcoming dictatorships during the 20th century and the role of parliament in the process.

Final Evaluation of Asia Urbs III Project
From December 11-21 the final evaluation of the Asia Urbs III Project will be carried out by Andrea Simon, a German evaluation expert from BBJ Consult. Asia Urbs III assists the reform of the provincial administration in Battambang and Siem Reap.
