Every day, not just International Women’s Day, should be an opportunity to recognize the true value of women. While Lebanon and the region have not been the kindest to them, women have persevered and pushed for greater milestones, greater roles, greater outcomes, and even greater presence within our economic sphere – whether collapsing or otherwise.

In Lebanon, women faced mounting obstacles on a daily basis, and coped with a combination of lower incomes, increased work pressures along with increasing childcare and domestic pressures, among which an upsurge in domestic violence.
