On May 5, 2025, SMART, under the patronage of H.E. Minister of Information Dr. Paul Morcos and in partnership with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) and the United Nations Information Center in Beirut (UNIC), hosted the final event of the "Wajhat Nazar" (Viewpoint) Program at the Radisson Blu Martinez Hotel in Beirut.
The event brought together 20 trainees specializing in Media, Political Science, Law, and Social Sciences, along with representatives from the Lebanese Parliament, academia, and civil society. The day featured a spirited youth debate on the importance of establishing permanent dialogue platforms in universities and media to address youth policies, judged by a panel of experts.
A high-level panel discussion followed, with MP George Okais, alongside leading academics, emphasizing the necessity of youth engagement in policy dialogue. The event concluded with a graduation ceremony and networking reception, celebrating the achievements of the trainees and the success of the program in empowering a new generation of informed, articulate, and engaged youth leaders.
This milestone event reaffirmed SMART’s commitment to fostering youth participation in Lebanon’s democratic and media landscapes.
