On May 29, 2025, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Lebanon participated in the “Lebanon Works” side event organized by the Lebanese Private Sector Network (LPSN), hosting a high-level panel discussion on Home-Based Health Care at Ava Venue in Achrafieh, Beirut. The session explored how essential health services can be effectively delivered directly to people’s homes—a timely and humane approach amid Lebanon’s strained healthcare infrastructure and shifting demographics.

Part of a larger multi-sectoral conference, this panel brought together healthcare practitioners, policymakers, and social innovators to share best practices and propose scalable models for expanding home care services across Lebanon. The event attracted over 500 participants and was widely covered by national media outlets, highlighting the public and professional interest in reimagining the future of health service delivery.

The session emphasized that home care is not only efficient and cost-effective, but also opens up new employment and service opportunities—especially critical in today’s economic climate. The panel underlined the growing relevance of home-based care for aging populations and vulnerable communities and aligned with global best practices and emerging public policy trends.
