Public Policy Making on the Local Level

The Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Lebanon Office (KAS) in collaboration with the Robert Schuman Institute (RSI) organized an online training via Zoom on “Public Policy Making on the Local Level” for 26 young politicians from Lebanon. The training took place on 02.06.2020 with and introductory course, followed by 2 workshop sessions on 03.06.2020. The sessions were held by Mr. Razvan Orasanu.

On the first day, the director of Robert Schuman Institute, Mr. Gábor Berczeli and the Resident Representative of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Lebanon Dr. Malte Gaier gave the welcome speeches. After which Mr. Razvan Orasanu, held the introductory session on “Elements of public policy – how to analyse and implement local public policy”.


The second day included 2 sessions by Mr. Razvan Orasanu. The first session was on “Building a local coalition – how to understand the stakeholders’ map and how to build a successful group to implement your policy”. The second session was an applied seminar on “Learning from your peers plus building tools for further knowledge of public policy”.


The Webinar permeated great team spirit and meaningful discussions on the basics of the public policy making.
