On the 16th of October 2026, the Reporter Slam will take place at the Wits Theatre in Johannesburg as part of Moxii Africa’s Media Freedom Festival.
Five Journalists from across the country and one journalist from Germany will compete live against each other, giving the audience a behind-the-scenes glimpse into their experiences as journalists.
The event will provide a dynamic platform to share personal stories and experiences from their work. Combining journalism with live storytelling, the Reporter Slam offers audiences an engaging look behind the headlines and into the realities reporters face in the field.
It’s the second time Reporter Slam comes exclusively to South Africa. KAS Media Africa is one again proud partner.
