Die Referenten waren junge Journalisten und Stipendiaten des KAS-Medienprogramms – Martina Kazakova, Dilyana Stoyanova und Georgi Karamfilov, die mit dem Publikum ihre bisherigen Berufserfahrungen im Medienbereich teilten.

Die Veranstaltung fand an der Fakultät für Journalismus und Massenkommunikation der Sofia Universität statt.

Die Diskussion ermutigte die Studierenden über die Zukunft der Medien in Bulgarien zu sprechen und die Rolle junger Menschen in diesem Bereich zu analysieren.

Тhe discussion encouraged the students to talk about the future of media in Bulgaria and to analyse the role of young people in the field. The panelists were young experts in journalism and fellows of the KAS Media Programme – Martina Kazakova, Dilyana Stoyanova and Georgi Karamfilov, who shared with the audience their path of development in the media field.

Among the main topics of the discussion were the role of young people in the media, the peculiarities of the contemporary media environment, as well as the various opportunities and challenges. They also shared with the audience how to overcome hardships on the way to success and why is the journalism profession worthwhile.

With the help of QR codes, the students in the hall had the opportunity to give their opinion on the environment in the media sector in Bulgaria and what do they expect from working as a journalist. Some answers were very optimistic, however, others were expressing fear and uncertainty.

In the closing part of the event the students were able to learn about current professional opportunities as well as the scholarship of the KAS Media Program South East Europe, which is open for new candidates.
