Once a year the Swedish government presents its goals and priorities for foreign policy (utrikesdeklaration), followed by a parliamentary debate.
To discuss the direction of Swedish foreign policy in 2026 and its consequences for the Nordics, the EU and NATO, The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung-Nordic countries co-chairs a panel discussion hosted by Utrikespolitisk Afton. Jakob Hallgren, Director of the Swedish Institute of International Affairs (UI) will moderate the discussion with foreign policy spokespeople from major Swedish parties.
