This year’s theme is “Democracy: Navigating the Tensions of Unity and Division," featuring esteemed scholars who have significantly influenced discussions in Philippine politics, political economy, democracy, and moral governance. The conference will serve as a platform for vital conversations about democracy amid challenges such as polarization, inequality, conflict, and changing global and regional dynamics.
We’re thrilled to announce that the keynote speakers include two globally recognized experts: Teresa S. Encarnacion Tadem, Professor Emeritus of Political Science at the University of the Philippines Diliman and former PPSA president; and Wataru Kusaka, Professor at the Graduate School of Global Studies at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. Both are renowned for their impactful research on politics, inequality, democracy, and elite power.
