Details

Since 2011, KAS PDA and NATO have been organizing this annual event. The NATO-Asia/Pacific Dialogue aims to offer a unique opportunity for exchange on areas of common concern, networking, confidence building and the sharing of analysis as well as information on issues of regional and international security. Its objective is to contribute to the construction of efficient and durable security cooperation between countries of the Asia-Pacific region, NATO and its member countries.

The 7th dialogue was attended by security experts from all NATO partners across the globe in Asia – namely Afghanistan, Australia, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, New Zealand, and Pakistan – as well as key security actors in Asia, such as China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, with whom NATO has regular consultations. During the two-day programme, the delegates discussed questions concerning the return of Great Power Politics, projecting stability in crisis areas, cyber security / hybrid warfare, and NATO’s perception in the Asia Pacific.
