The Summer School in Myanmar has become a well-established education program for young social scientists, currently assisting representatives of civic organizations and parties. This year's session received more than 300 requests, of which only 85 could be accepted, due to limitations to the organizational space.

The program consists of training from social scientists with various international background in many fields: social analysis, economics and society, history of Myanmar, international relations of South East Asia and many more.

The day-to-day sessions consist of intensive classes being taught in English.

For the participants, coming from different parts of the country, the Summer School represents a rare chance to communicate with foreign scientists and learn different methods being applied in the field. The participants have, in some provinces, become "Agents of Social Transformation", enganging politically in regional organisations and events.
