⚡ On Thursday, May 29, the “Florin Piersic” Cinema in Cluj-Napoca welcomed 729 attendees for the city’s first edition of the People of Justice (Oamenii Dreptății) storytelling show after twelve shows in other cities in the past. For over two and a half hours, the audience experienced a compelling blend of storytelling, short films, poetry, theater, and live music—all centered around a shared call for justice, courage, and active citizenship.
🪄The show brought together judges, lawyers, journalists, teachers, activists, political scientists, criminologists and artists who addressed pressing societal issues such as addiction, housing, minority rights, misinformation, critical thinking, leadership, activism, and community building. Among the featured guests were criminologist Vlad Zaha, the Politică la Minut team (Vlad Adamescu and Răzvan Petri), documentary journalists Cosmin Bumbuț and Elena Stancu, educator Anda Culișir, lawyer Filip Cosma, judge Bianca Poptile, and actor István Téglás.
👏 Audience members shared their impressions on postcards, describing the event as “illuminating,” “a wonderful experience,” “full of hope,” and “a source of courage to get involved.” Launched in 2019 by the KAS Rule of Law Programme South East Europe and the Leaders for Justice Community, this was the 13th edition of People of Justice. Our mission remains clear: to continue democratizing the concept of justice and fairness in society—one story at a time.
