This target topic is about the promotion and strengthening of national and international human rights protection systems. Its global consideration regarding all the minorities in the region, encompassing both ethnic minorities and other marginal groups of society, must be secured.

In addition to the prohibition of discrimination, the main focus is also on the fundamental and human rights of each individual. The protection of these individual rights against state intervention serves to safeguard the rule of law. Above all also in supranational view. The protection afforded by the European Convention on Human Rights must actually be afforded to citizens. Even in such a very sensitive area, the RLP SEE works with national courts and associations to strengthen fundamental and human rights and to ensure their protection.
