The Rule of Law and Economic Development in the Great Lakes Region

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Foundation under the aegis of the Rule of Law Program for Sub Saharan Africa organised a two-day Conference in Nairobi for young researchers drawn from universities of Kinshasa, Lubumbashi and Catholic University, Bukavu, from the DRC; National University of Rwanda and the University of Burundi. The main objective of the conference was to examine the nexus between the Rule of Law and economic development in the Great Lakes Region.

KAS' African Experts Study Group on The International Criminal Justice

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Foundation under the aegis of the Rule of Law Program for Sub Saharan Africa organised a two-day workshop in Nairobi for a team of experts on international criminal justice drawn from across Africa to interrogate, deliberate and assess the progression of the international criminal justice from an African perspective.

CONFERENCE ON CONSTITUTIONAL LAW REFORM IN KENYA AND TANZANIA IN LIGHT OF THE EAC TREATY

The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung under the auspices of its Rule of Law Program for Sub Saharan Africa hosted a constitutional law expert’s forum in Arusha, Tanzania on 9th October 2012 to discuss constitutional reform processes in Kenya and Tanzania and their impact on the EAC regional integration process.

Rule of Law Day

The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung under the auspices of its Rule of Law Program for Sub Saharan Africa in collaboration with the Uganda Law Society convened the 5th Annual Rule of Law Day in Kampala, Uganda on 8th October 2012 on the theme ‘'The Rule of Law in Uganda: 50 years after Independence"

Conferences on Climate Change and Law
