Rule of Law Day

The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung under the auspices of its Rule of Law Program for Sub Saharan Africa in collaboration with the Uganda Law Society convened the 5th Annual Rule of Law Day in Kampala, Uganda on 8th October 2012 on the theme ‘'The Rule of Law in Uganda: 50 years after Independence"

The event sought to assess the state of the rule of law in Uganda since independence 50 years ago.

The Chief Guest at the event was Rtd. Justice James Ogoola, the chairperson of the Judicial Service Commission who condemned the behaviour of state agents particularly police service and the executive arm of government towards the rule of law in Uganda.
