Climate Change Vulnerabilities, Risks and Opportunities in the AMECEA Region.
A Contribution to the Association of Member Episcopal Conferences in Eastern Africa (AMECEA) Conference 2022 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
According to the latest 5th Assessment Report (AR5) by the Intergovern-mental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), there is strong evidence that the impacts of climate change are already striking Africa hard. The health, livelihoods, and food security of people in Africa are all affected by climate change.
We at the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), together with local partners, aim to raise awareness for issues pertinent around climate change amongst political and societal stakeholders. We work for people to be able to live self-determined lives in freedom and dignity.
