Cultivating Awareness in Young Student Network Building
The Secretariat of the National Assembly (SNA) and Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) are working collaboratively to provide civic education that equips youth with the knowledge and understanding needed to become engaged, responsible citizens and future contributors to democratic politics. They also support the Parliamentary Democracy Youth Network by enhancing members' teamwork skills and expanding their membership base. This year, both organisations will jointly participate in an event focused on civic education, with a particular emphasis on strengthening youth networks. These efforts are expected to contribute to a more robust and sustainable promotion of democracy.
In 2025, the two partner organisations — SNA and KAS — will continue their collaboration by implementing the "Civic Education 2025: Cultivating Awareness in Young Student Network Building" workshop series. The program will be delivered in eight upper secondary schools across four provinces in Thailand, with the goal of strengthening the Democratic Youth Network of the Thai Parliament. A key component of the initiative is providing students the opportunity to engage directly with Members of Parliament (MPs), who will share insights into their legislative roles and their work in addressing constituents’ concerns during parliamentary sessions. This interaction will offer students a practical understanding of parliamentary processes and inspire their future political engagement.
