Details

Continuing its commitment to building a strong network of young academics and fostering future collaboration and international exchange, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung e.V. Thailand has, in 2026, awarded the Konrad Adenauer Scholarship for Social and Innovative Development (KASSID) to six master’s degree students in Thailand who demonstrate not only academic excellence but also a strong commitment to social development. To formally welcome the new scholars, KAS Thailand intends to convene an orientation meeting, providing them with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of KAS Thailand’s mission, objectives, and the wide range of projects implemented across the country. The orientation will also serve as a platform to reiterate the objectives and guidelines of the KASSID Scholarship and provide a Q&A session to clarify any questions regarding the scholars’ duties and responsibilities. In addition, the meeting will offer a forum for the new scholars to share their perspectives, present their academic and social projects, and explore opportunities for future collaboration with one another.

The KASSID Scholarship Program was initiated in 2021 with the aim of supporting Thai students who are passionate about contributing to the development of the state and society. The program also seeks to promote intercultural exchange and expand international academic networks. Over the years, it has supported 36 scholars across five cohorts nationwide, helping to prepare and connect them for various international opportunities. Through this growing community of young scholars, KAS Thailand hopes to continue fostering meaningful connections, inspiring innovative ideas, and empowering the next generation to contribute positively to society.
