Details

In 2021, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung started a new scholarship program called “Konrad Adenauer Scholarship for Social and Innovative Development (KASSID)” for Thais who are interested in pursuing a Master’s degree or currently studying a Master’s degree in educational institutions in Thailand. The goals are to support Thai students with a will to contribute to the state and society; and promote intercultural exchanges and expand international academic networks.

In 2022, as some of the first-batch students have graduated their programs in the middle of the year, KAS continues granting scholarship to four second-batch students.

On 6th-7th December 2022, the office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Thailand will organize a winter meeting for recipients of the KASSID program. The meeting aims to bring together students of the first and second batch to share their study progress, projects, difficulties, including their future plans. KAS will offer a lecture class and a discussion round on international cooperation toward global challenges as a consequence of the ongoing war. Considering global conflicts and the need of more international cooperation in all dimensions, effective communication and peaceful dialogues between all parties are key to maintain the world order. Therefore, a training workshop to advance the scholars’ communication skills will be provided in order to prepare the young academics for effective communication in different challenging contexts. The event will also serve as a networking platform for the KASSID scholars to help them stay connected and exchange their ideas with one another.
