Details
The office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation in Vietnam organized in cooperation with the National Assembly an international conference with regard to the topic of "Organization of State Powers: International Experiences" and concentrated on the concepts of separation of powers. The conference took place from the 28th until the 29th of February in Hanoi and offered a unique opportunity to discuss and juxtapose together with representatives of the National Assembly and high-ranking political representatives different models of constitutional bodies internationally, especially in South East Asia. By organizing the conference in cooperation with the National Assembly the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation contributed to the ongoing judicial reform as well as to the further strengthening of rule-of-law structures in Vietnam, thus directly serving the purpose of amending the Vietnamese constitution of 1992. Among the distinguished international guests were former and current Justices from the Constitutional Court of the Philippines and from the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Korea as well as members of the Constitutional Council of the Royal Kingdom of Cambodia.
