The regional two-day conference "After the ICTY: Regional Cooperation, Accountability, Truth and Justice in the Former Yugoslavia" is held in Sarajevo, BiH, gathering project stakeholders, governments’ representatives as well as the representatives of judiciary, media, CSOs dealing with transitional justice and rule of law, experts, and opinion-holders.

Country based and regional findings deriving from the project’s journalistic production and stakeholder events will be presented at the conference, serving as a baseline for debate. Following the conference, BIRN will public policy paper that will include current state of play in the area of criminal justice and regional cooperation in addressing legacies of conflict.

This regional event gathers at one table key stakeholders from the WB region who are part of the transitional justice processes in the region, and discuss what are the main obstacles, where and when the states are preventing institutions from doing their work, and what are the priorities in joint work in order to boost these painful processes.
