This is a Malay language translation of the writing of James MacGregor Burns, originally published in 2013. Burns discusses the origins of the Enlightenment and tracks its effects down to the American civil war and to its effects in the 21st century. He further argues the importance of the Enlightenment as the foundation of a successful democracy.
