Job Announcement: Project Manager for Digitalisation (m/f/d)

For three months we are looking for a Project Manager on a part-time basis (20hrs/week)

For our activities & projects between April and June we are looking for additional support in the area of digitalisation (e governance, Smart Cities) to facilitate the planning, budgeting, implementation and evaluation of several events. The Project Manager will be employed on an honorary basis of 20 hrs per week for the duration of three months.

Between the 7th and 8th of December, the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation is organising an international conference on “Sustainable Water Management: Improving Water Policy and Governance in Emerging Asia” in Singapore. We will receive policymakers, government officials from Singapore and Germany, industry leaders, academics, researchers, energy experts, environmentalists and representatives from international organisations to discuss the water-energy-nexus and transboundary water governance (amongst others).

Die Vorgänge in Thailand mit dem Militärputsch im Mai und der Auflösung des Parlaments sind ein Beleg dafür, dass freiheitliche Demokratie noch keineswegs ein allgemein akzeptiertes oder gar konsolidiertes Ordnungsmodell in Asien ist. Selbst in den sogenannten „Wahldemokratien“ sind demokratische Prozesse und Verfahren noch recht prekär und demokratische Institutionen wie Parteien und Parlament nur sehr eingeschränkt funktionsfähig.Deshalb sind weiterhin politische Bildungsmaßnahmen notwendig, um demokratische Prozesse und Institutionen zu stärken.

Konferenz "Climate Diplomacy and Urban Resilience"

Am 4. und 5. September fand eine bedeutende Konferenz zum Thema “Climate Diplomacy and Urban Resilience” in Yangon / Myanmar statt, um die Debatte zwischen Europa und Asien zu intensivieren. Der Dialog wurde vom Regionalprogramm Politikdialog Asien der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Kooperation mit der UN-Habitat organisiert und war Bestandteil des EU-Asia Dialogue-Projektes, welches von der Europäischen Union ko-finanziert wird. Insgesamt nahmen 97 Experten aus 20 Ländern an der Veranstaltung teil.

Konferenz “Addressing Irregular Migration and Human Trafficking in Europe and Asia”

Am 6. und 7. März 2014 hat das Regionalprogramm Politikdialog Asien der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Singapur in Kooperation mit dem Cambodian Institute for Cooperation and Peace eine Konferenz zum Thema „Addressing Irregular Migration and Human Trafficking in Europe and Asia” in Phnom Penh / Kambodscha durchgeführt. Den Eröffnungsvortrag hielt H.E. Frau Chou Bun Eng, Secretary of State und Vorsitzende des Sekretariats des National Committee to Lead the Suppression of Human Trafficking, Smuggling and Labor Exploitation and Sexual Exploitation in Women and Children, Innenministerium, Kambodscha.

Su Wei zu Gast bei der Konferenz Klimadiplomatie in Peking

Am 21. Oktober 2013 hat das Regionalprogramm Politikdialog Asien der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Singapur in Kooperation mit dem Center for Industrial Development and Environmental Governance (CIDEG) der Tsinghua Universität Peking eine Konferenz zum Thema „Europe-Asia Cooperation on Climate Change Negotiations“ durchgeführt. Den Eröffnungsvortrag hielt Herr Su Wei, Direktor der Klimawandelabteilung in der National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) und Chefunterhändler der Volksrepublik China in den Klimaverhandlungen.
