The work examines the emergence and further transformation of Ukraine’s party system in 1990-2017, its key drivers of change at each evolution stage, such as legislation on political parties and elections; political regime; most significant societal cleavages, nature and consequences of their influence; current trends in Ukraine’s party system development.
