The course is the result of a partnership between KAS Brasil and Transparency International, with the support of ABRAJI.

This week was held the first module of the course "Investigative Journalism: Corruption and Public Health", in partnership with Transparency International and with the support of ABRAJI. The project aims to explore the main issues of investigative journalism in light of the recent public health corruption cases, as a result of the pandemic. There were ten classes, which counted with the participation of big names in the field of public health and investigative journalism, and covered topics such as: The Management of SUS: Challenges for Public Health; The Role of Civil Society in Monitoring Public Policy in Health; Corruption in Health, Public Procurement and the Third Sector; Challenges of Corruption Investigations in Health: A Look at Emblematic Cases; The Relevance of Data to Public Health Accountability; Covid-19 Vaccination Data: How to Obtain and Analyze It; Scientific Reporting and Covid-19 and OSINT Techniques for Covid-19 Pandemic Investigations. During the 5 days, more than 70 journalists, experts and representatives of civil society organizations participated in an integrated and specialized group, with active interaction during the courses. The group went through a selection process and only those who directly matched the main objectives of the course were selected.
