On the occasion of the visit of the spokesman of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group for Latin America, Peter Beyer, to Brazil, the Brazilian office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) in cooperation with the University of IDP is organising a seminar on the state of relations between Brazil and Europe in the context of the third term of President Lula's government.

Details

This hybrid event will focus on economic interests, multilateralism in a globalised world and the effects of the Russian aggression on Ukraine as well as the agreement between Mercosur and the European Union and the protection of the Amazon rainforest. In addition, strategic partnerships and opportunities for international cooperation will be discussed.

The panel will include Peter Beyer, Member of the German Bundestag, Minister Flávio Goldman from the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ignacio Ybáñez Rubio from the Delegation of the European Union to Brazil and Prof. Dr. Antônio Ramalho from the University of Brasília. The seminar will be moderated by Dr Monique Sochazcewski Goldfeld (IDP).
