KAS Brazil's Advisory Board gathered in Rio de Janeiro to provide the Foundation with valuable advice on its work in the upcoming triennium: aiming to provide the foundation with political estimations and comments on its work focuses so that KAS Brazil can further immerge into certain areas and readjust others, where necessary.
The Advisory Board of the foundation is a unique tool for objective evaluation of the activities and work priorities of KAS Brazil. This committee consists of prominent representatives from politics, public administration, religion, think tanks and the academia. All Advisory Board members praised the path chosen by the foundation and gave valuable advice on future strategic orientations of the activities.
In the year 2014, KAS Brazil, led by Felix Dane, continued to deepen their focuses on political education, European politics, international relations and defence policy as well as environmental and virtual democracy politics. According to the Advisory Board members' suggestions, KAS will expand and continue to embrace these priorities, particularly its international relations and environmental policy sections. Thus, Latin America's largest security conference "Forte de Copacabana" as well as the ongoing institutionalisation of the CB27 network (consisting of Brazil's 27 state capital's Heads of the Environmental Department) will be on the foundation's agenda for the upcoming triennium.
