Israel and the European Union have found themselves in a paradoxical situation for quite some time, and which would drive even the most experienced marriage counsellor to despair. Never before - when it comes to the intensity of collaboration - have both parties had such extremely close ties, yet rarely before had both reached such a high level of political estrangement as is currently the case. More than 1000 Israelis were asked for their opinion on Europe-Israeli relations.
