Survey Methodology
The survey was conducted in July 2025 through 1,200 face-to-face interviews across Jordan. Respondents were selected using a probability-based stratified sampling method covering 150 locations nationwide to ensure representative results.
Key Areas of Focus
The survey examines several areas:
- Foreign Policy Perceptions: Evaluating public views on the effectiveness of Jordan’s foreign policy in advancing national interests and regional priorities.
- Alliances and Partnerships: Assessing perceptions of Jordan’s closest political and economic partners and preferences for future cooperation.
- Geopolitical Dynamics: Measuring public attitudes toward regional conflicts, global power competition, and the roles of international and regional actors.
- Public Expectations: Identifying the foreign policy priorities Jordanians believe should guide the Kingdom’s engagement with the international community.
- Perceptions of Germany: Exploring Germany’s image, influence, and potential areas for enhanced bilateral cooperation with Jordan.
Together, these areas provide a comprehensive picture of Jordanian public opinion at a time of significant regional transformation, highlighting the relationship between foreign policy, national stability, and citizens’ aspirations.
Survey Launch
The Jordan’s Foreign Relations Survey (Wave V) was officially launched during an expert roundtable on November 17th 2025. The event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including government officials, diplomats, academics, political party representatives, journalists, and civil society actors. By distributing the study among this influential audience, the launch fostered informed discussion on Jordan’s foreign policy priorities and increased visibility of the survey’s findings across key decision-making and public opinion circles.
