The KAS Jordan Office works to promote dialogue on security, diplomacy, and peace. It provides platforms for Jordanian, regional, and international experts, academics, and political leaders to engage directly regarding Jordan’s role for regional stability and the challenges shaping the Middle East through workshops, conferences, and publications. These exchanges encourage a more open and informed discussion as well as continued exchange on issues that are often politically sensitive or understood differently across national contexts.
The work in this arena has become increasingly important in recent years since conflict, geopolitical rivalry, and shifting alliances have placed renewed pressure on Jordan and the Middle East's political and security order more broadly. Against this backdrop, the office draws on its networks and discussions to bring local and regional perspectives into policy conversations in Germany and Europe, helping ensure that policy responses to developments in the region remain grounded in local realities and that the dialogue between German, European and Jordanian actors on cooperation is maintained and deepened.
