First Phase: Foundational Training Workshops
The program commenced with two three-day foundational training workshops held from 11 to 13 April 2026, bringing together around 45 women leaders from political parties represented in Parliament. Participants were divided into two training sessions, representing participants from the North and South governorates, to ensure broad geographic representation and foster peer learning among women leaders from across Jordan.
The workshops focused on enhancing participants’ leadership competencies, strategic communication skills, political advocacy, and their ability to actively contribute to party structures and decision-making processes.
Second Phase: Advanced Training Workshop
Building on the success of the foundational phase, KAS Jordan and the IEC organized an advanced training workshop for women party leaders in Amman from 16 to 18 July 2026. The three-day workshop brought together 20 selected women leaders from various political parties represented in Parliament who demonstrated strong commitment and potential during the first training workshops.
The advanced phase was designed to further strengthen participants’ leadership capacities, deepen their political communication and advocacy skills, and support the development of a network of highly capable women leaders within Jordan’s political parties. By building on the skills and progress achieved through the foundational phase, the workshop provided targeted support for the participants to continue their political leadership journey in order to foster a new generation of women political leaders equipped to play a more influential role in party leadership and public life.
The workshops employed an interactive training methodology that combined concise theoretical presentations with practical exercises, case studies, and simulation activities. Special emphasis is placed on developing participants’ practical competencies and assessing their performance, thereby enhancing their readiness to contribute more effectively to party work and public life.
