The establishment of a Palestinian State and a comprehensive peace agreement can be expected to lead to challenges for the neighboring countries and especially to Jordan being the host country with the largest number of Palestinian refugees. Jordan needs to be well prepared to address the issue of refugees along with all other final status issues. Therefore a group of retired Generals and academics from Jordan and Palestine met in Amman in order to discuss a number of strategic issues.

The discussions dealt with the current status of the Israeli – Palestinian conflict, including possibilities of conflict management and conflict resolution. Furthermore joint strategic interests of Jordan and Palestine were discussed as well as ways to advance these interests.
