Political Empowerment Academy 2021
The Political Empowerment Academy is organized by Konrad-Adenauer -Stiftung Cambodia in cooperation with Politikoffee. The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) recognizes youth as a positive force for transformative positive social changes and aims to enhance their participation in Cambodian politics. Through the annual academy, launching for the first time in spring 2019, we aim to continue supporting the active participation of youth in the political process and empower the next generation of political, governmental, and civil society leaders.

Field Trip on Environmental Issues to the Cambodian Countryside
Following a theoretical training on environmental law, 20 civil servants from the Senate, the NA and the MoE leave for a field trip. They study priority environmental projects that operate on the basis of recently introduced environmental laws
Constitutionalism in Southeast Asia
Cooperation between the Senate of the Kingdom Cambodia and KAF
Workshop on the development of constitutions particularly the Cambodian and presentation of the book “ASEAN Constitutions” published by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. The KAF publication is edited in cooperation with Dr. Jörg Menzel CIM).
Protection of Investment – International and National Law
Conference in cooperation of the International Relations Institute of Cambodia (IRIC) and the KAF. Dr. Thilo Rensmann LL.M., Professor of Law in Bonn and Munich will hold a lecture about International treaties for the protection of investments.

A ToT on “analysis of the labor market for optimizing applications” will be held at KAS Office on March 27-28. It addresses trainers at the district JPA in Battambang and Siem Reap. The JPA had been established under the Asia Urbs I started in 2001

Police Training on Witness Protection at the ECCC and Beyond
Thirty-one police officers from 6 regions will be trained on witness protection for the ECCC and Beyond. The goal is to educate police on international human rights standards for police and the rules of procedure and evidence adopted by the ECCC.
