Political Foundations are at the nexus of political decisionmakers and civil society. The ideological affiliationof political foundations to specific party familiesallows them to build networks based on trust andcommon values. Through the creation in 2006 ofa transnational cross-party European Network ofPolitical Foundations (ENoP), the Foundationsgained a platform that has enabled them to enterinto dialogue with the EU institutions, contribute topolicy-making and strengthen their overall positionas development actors at the European level.
