Mikko Huotari, Head of International Relations at the Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS) presented the MERICS-study “China’s Emergence as a Global Security Actor” at a joint event organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the American Council on Germany (ACG) on February 12th.

Members of the African Policy Circle Helen Kezie-Nwoha, Executive Director of Isis Women’s International Cross Cultural Exchange in Uganda and Aditi Lalbahadur, Programme Manager for the Foreign Policy Programme at the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA) publish a paper on "SDG 16: The Challenge of ‘Sustaining Peace’ in Places of Crisis". Their research was conducted subsequent to a dialogue programme entitled "The African Policy Circle goes UN: Empowering local influencers through dialogue on the 2030 Agenda" organized by the KAS New York office.

As a member of the German Bundestag as well as a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Dr. Andreas Nick offered his thoughts on the future of crisis management. During his stay in New York, he gave a speech about “Germany’s UN Policy after the Election”. This event took place at the New York office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in cooperation with the American Council on Germany (ACG) on November 27th 2017.
