Climate change is one of the most significant non-traditional security threats facing the international community today. For Small Island Developing States, particularly in the Pacific and Oceania region, rising sea levels, extreme weather events, food and water insecurity, and climate-induced displacement are increasingly linked to broader security and governance challenges. The conference will bring together scholars, policymakers, security practitioners, legal experts and representatives of affected communities to discuss these issues and develop policy-relevant recommendations.
