Current means and levels of international cooperation are not commensurate with the scale and rapidity of changes brought about by digital technologies. Therefore, the UN Secretary-General António Guterres has launched a High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation with the aim to identify good examples and propose modalities for working cooperatively across sectors, disciplines and borders to address challenges in the digital age. The report of the UN Secretary General’s High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation makes a set of actionable recommendations in different fields of digitalisation.
Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung has therefore been asked by the United Nations to support the UN’s inquiry about the countries‘ perspective on the suggestions made by the UN Secretary General’s High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation.
Thus, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung is organising a series of workshops all over the world to discuss the report’s results. In these workshops we would like to take up the recommendations made by the High-Level Panel and discuss them with diverse stakeholders. The subsequent report by KAS about these multi-stakeholder discussions will form the basis for comments on the UN report’s findings.
