During Mr. Steinbeis' stay in the country, he had the opportunity to attend a range of interesting meetings. Among others, he had a meeting with the former president of the constitutional council Dr. Issam Sleiman, a man of knowledge and expertise, to discuss the evolution of the Lebanese constitutional council, potential amendments to the council's competencies and powers, and the attempts of political interference with the separation of powers. Mr. Steinbeis visited the council's premises, where he had the chance to meet Judge Tannous Mechleb – the current president of the council alongside with the member of the council Judge Dr. Mireille Najem Chukrallah (see cover photo).

Mr. Steinbeis also visited the Lebanese Supreme Judicial Council, where he had a meeting with a prominent judge.
