The Berlin Conference on Legal Policy is considered as one of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s most established forums for discussing legal policy, bringing together experts from politics, the judiciary, and academia each year to debate the most pressing issues of the day. The 19th edition of the conference examined the extent to which legal limits on freedom of expression can serve to protect democratic discourse without curtailing the pluralistic exchange of ideas - a fundamental characteristic of democracy.
