On this special evening of 11 October we had the honor and pleasure of welcoming high-ranking guests Dr. Gerhard Wahlers, Deputy General Secretary of the KAS, Mr Do Hung Viet, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Dr. Guido Hildner, Ambassador of Germany to Vietnam as well as Vietnamese and international colleagues, partners and friends.

In his speech, Dr. Gerhard Wahlers said that Vietnam and the world have changed in the last 30 years and that the work of the foundation has also developed further. He expressed confidence that as we enter the fourth decade of the KAS presence in Vietnam, together with Vietnamese partners, we would identify the right topics to build on the success of the past. From the beginning until today, KAS Vietnam has been tireless in its commitment to promoting rule of law, representation and participation, a sustainable and social market economy as well as regional and international integration. We will continue to play a positive role in promoting German-Vietnamese cooperation.

Happy 30th anniversary again! The KAS has had a long and successful journey in Vietnam. On this auspicious occasion, we would like to thank everyone, especially our former and current partners and local employees for your cooperation, trust and partnership. We would also like to take this opportunity to recognize the contribution and commitment of eight wonderful resident representatives who have contributed to the success of our work. Thank you to EVERYONE who helped us create this amazing journey.
