EXPERT TALK ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, STRATEGIC COMPETITION, AND THE FUTURE OF REGIONAL SECURITY

On 1 October 2026, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Vietnam Office and the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) jointly organized an Expert Talk in Hanoi on the theme“Artificial Intelligence, Strategic Competition, and the Future of Regional Security.” Held in a Track 1.5 format, the dialogue brought together scholars, policymakers, and practitioners from Vietnam, Europe, and across the Indo-Pacific to exchange perspectives on the implications of artificial intelligence (AI) for regional and international affairs.

GERMAN-VIETNAMESE EXCHANGE SUPPORTS CAPACITY BUILDING FOR LAW-MAKING AND LAW ENFORCEMENT

On 28 and 30 September 2026, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Vietnam, in cooperation with the Department for the Development of Legal Normative Documents under the Ministry of Justice of Vietnam, organized two regional workshops and professional training sessions in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi on the theme “The Legislative Process in the Federal Republic of Germany and Selected Experiences for Viet Nam.”

STRENGTHENING LAW IMPLEMENTATION REPORTING THROUGH DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

HANOI, September 25 - As Vietnam accelerates its transition toward digital government, reliable data and effective reporting are increasingly recognized as essential foundations for evidence-based policymaking and modern governance. Against this backdrop, representatives from the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), central and local authorities, legal experts, researchers, and technology practitioners gathered in Hanoi for the workshop “Needs and Solutions for Digital Transformation in Reporting on the Organization of Law Implementation.” The event was jointly organized by the Department of Legal Document Examination and Organization of Law Implementation under the Ministry of Justice and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Vietnam under the framework of the longstanding Vietnam-Germany Rule of Law Dialogue.

STRENGTHENING LEGAL CAPACITY TO ADDRESS INTERNATIONAL COMMITMENTS AND GREEN TRADE REQUIREMENTS

Nha Trang, September 21, 2026 - As sustainability requirements, emissions reduction commitments, and environmental responsibilities increasingly reshape international trade, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Vietnam and the Department of International Law and Resolving International Investment Disputes under the Ministry of Justice jointly organized a training course aimed at strengthening capacities to address legal issues related to international commitments and Vietnam’s evolving legal framework for green trade. The training was conducted within the framework of the Vietnam-Germany Rule of Law Dialogue, a long-standing cooperation initiative that promotes legal and judicial cooperation between Vietnam and Germany through policy dialogue, capacity building, and the exchange of expertise.

VIETNAM’S DOI MOI AFTER FORTY YEARS

ADAPTIVE GOVERNANCE, REGIONAL INTEGRATION, AND FUTURE DEVELOPMENT PATHWAYS

As Vietnam marks the 40th anniversary of Doi Moi in 2026, scholars and policymakers are increasingly reflecting on one of the most remarkable development transformations in contemporary Asia. Four decades after the launch of the reform process in 1986, Vietnam has evolved from a centrally planned economy into one of the region’s most dynamic and globally integrated economies. Against this backdrop, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Vietnam, in partnership with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), Vietnam National University Hanoi, organized the research dissemination workshop “Vietnam’s Doi Moi in the Context of East Asia: A National Development Model Between Regional Patterns and Uniqueness” on 25 September 2026 in Hanoi.

ACADEMIC FORUM 2026 EXPLORES VIETNAM’S STRATEGIC CHOICES IN A FRAGMENTED WORLD

On 10-11 September 2026, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Vietnam and the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) jointly organized the Academic Forum 2026 in Hanoi under the theme "Vietnam's Strategic Choices: Middle Power Diplomacy in a Fragmented World." Held against the backdrop of intensifying geopolitical competition, economic fragmentation, rapid technological change, and growing transnational challenges, the forum served as a timely venue for academic exchange on the evolving role of middle powers in international affairs.

THE 15TH OCEAN DIALOGUE

FROM AGREEMENT TO ACTION: IMPLEMENTING BBNJ FOR EQUITABLE AND EFFECTIVE OCEAN GOVERNANCE

On 18 September 2026, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Vietnam and the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) jointly organized the 15th Ocean Dialogue in Hanoi under the theme “From Agreement to Action: Implementing BBNJ for Equitable and Effective Ocean Governance.” The event brought together leading scholars, diplomats, legal experts, policymakers, and practitioners from Vietnam and abroad to exchange views on promoting the effective implementation of the Agreement on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ Agreement).

Ngày 20/8/2026, Quỹ Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) tại Việt Nam phối hợp với Viện Nghiên cứu Kinh tế - Xã hội (RISE) thuộc Đại học Sài Gòn đồng tổ chức thành công Hội thảo quốc tế với chủ đề: “Nâng cao hiệu quả các phương thức giải quyết tranh chấp thay thế (ADR) trong giải quyết tranh chấp thương mại và đầu tư tại Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh”.

Chia sẻ kinh nghiệm và nâng cao năng lực công tác dân nguyện, giám sát tại Việt Nam

Trong hai ngày 7 - 8/7/2026, tại thành phố Đà Nẵng, Ủy ban Dân nguyện và Giám sát của Quốc hội phối hợp với Văn phòng Quỹ Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) tại Việt Nam tổ chức Hội nghị công tác dân nguyện và giám sát khu vực miền Trung và Tây Nguyên năm 2026. Đây là hoạt động được tổ chức trong năm đầu nhiệm kỳ Quốc hội khóa XVI nhằm quán triệt các quy định pháp luật mới, trao đổi kinh nghiệm thực tiễn và nâng cao năng lực cho các cơ quan dân cử trong việc thực hiện công tác dân nguyện và giám sát. Hội nghị là một trong ba hội nghị khu vực được tổ chức trên phạm vi cả nước trong năm 2026 nhằm hỗ trợ các cơ quan dân cử ở Trung ương và địa phương thực hiện hiệu quả chức năng, nhiệm vụ được giao.

Trao đổi nghị viện, quan hệ đối tác đổi mới sáng tạo và nâng cao sức chống chịu của nền kinh tế

Thúc đẩy hợp tác Việt Nam - Đức

BERLIN – Trong bối cảnh Việt Nam đang đẩy mạnh thực hiện các mục tiêu tăng trưởng dựa trên đổi mới sáng tạo, chuyển đổi số và phát triển bền vững, việc nâng cao chất lượng thể chế, tăng cường sức chống chịu của nền kinh tế và thúc đẩy hợp tác quốc tế ngày càng trở thành những ưu tiên quan trọng. Trên cơ sở đó, chương trình khảo sát, trao đổi kinh nghiệm tại Đức do Viện KAS Việt Nam tổ chức từ ngày 6 đến 10/7 đã quy tụ các đại biểu là nhà lập pháp, nhà hoạch định chính sách, chuyên gia, nhà nghiên cứu và học giả Việt Nam nhằm trao đổi với các đối tác Đức về quản trị quốc gia, đổi mới sáng tạo và triển vọng phát triển Quan hệ Đối tác chiến lược Việt Nam - Đức. Đoàn công tác gồm đại diện Quốc hội, Viện Nghiên cứu Chính sách và Chiến lược thuộc Ban Chính sách, Chiến lược Trung ương, Bộ Công Thương, Liên đoàn Thương mại và Công nghiệp Việt Nam (VCCI), cùng các viện nghiên cứu và cơ sở đào tạo. Với vai trò là cầu nối đối thoại chính sách, KAS Việt Nam đã kết nối các đại biểu Việt Nam với nghị sĩ, quan chức chính phủ, lãnh đạo doanh nghiệp, chuyên gia nghiên cứu và các cơ sở học thuật của Đức.
