Supporting political parties for democracy – food for thought for European actors

Event report of the ENoP lunch time roundtable discussion

Stakeholders from DG DEVCO of the European Commission, the European Partnership for Democracy and the European Network of Political Foundations (ENoP) met in Brussels in order to launch ENoP's first policy paper. The event was organized by ENoP together with Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and other members of the working group “Democracy” of ENoP.

15 young representatives of the South Caucasus Youth Parliament visited Brussels from 18 to 23 February 2013 in the context of a study tour which has been organized by Konrad-Adenauer-Foundations Multinational Development Policy Dialogue.The overall objective of this visit was to raise awareness among the students aged be-tween 15 and 18, of the functioning of the EU institutions, in particular the European Parliament, and other international organizations.

Having a Closer Look at Israeli-EU Relations

The UN Security Council Resolution 1325, which was adopted in October 2000, called for the first time for an active role of women in peace-building processes in a mandatory form under international law; this includes also the integration of gender perspectives in peace missions, the integration of women in programmes regarding demobilization and reintegration and the special acceptance of women’s rights (especially protection from sexual violence).
