Call for Papers

The organisers of the international conference "INTERACTION BETWEEN INTERNATIONAL, REGIONAL AND NATIONAL LABOUR LAW AND SOCIAL SECURITY: STANDARDS AND METHODS", to be hosted on 13-14 October 2011 at the University of Stellenbosch invite academics and practitioners to submit research and policy based papers.

Through the role that the ILO has played since its foundation in 1919, a variety of international and minimum standards for labour law and social security have been established. Despite the positive effects of international and minimum labour and social security standards, there are a number of deficiencies within the existing standards as provided by the UN system (including the ILO) and in regional instruments.
